Last updated: May 2, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PlateAI (the "Service"), operated by Elazar Shlomo ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

PlateAI is a software service that uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized meal plans, recipes, and grocery lists based on user-supplied preferences.

2. Eligibility & Account

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you must not:

4. AI-Generated Content

Meal plans, recipes, and nutritional information generated by the Service are produced by AI models and may contain inaccuracies. The Service is not a substitute for professional nutritional, medical, or allergy advice. You are responsible for verifying ingredient suitability for your dietary needs and for consulting a qualified professional where appropriate. You are responsible for your prompts and how you use generated outputs.

You retain rights to inputs you provide. We may remove, restrict, or refuse to generate content that violates these Terms or applicable law. Repeated infringement may result in account suspension.

5. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, documentation, and branding. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal use within the plan you have selected.

6. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the exclusive Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy for our refund window.

7. Service Level

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement are disclaimed.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where excluded by law.

9. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of the Republic of South Africa, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law.
